A corporate headwear programme may include uniforms, dealer merchandise and gifts under one identity. They do not automatically need the same cap or presentation. Build an assortment that keeps the shared brand clear while making each purpose and product decision explicit.
For the related construction decisions, see the work cap and uniform headwear guide. The plan below addresses the campaign or corporate buying task.

Separate purpose from price tier
List where each version will be worn or distributed. A uniform cap may need an established issue and replacement process; a dealer item may need retail information; a gift may need a considered presentation. Describe those needs before assigning a tier.
Avoid calling every added trim a product improvement. Assess whether it helps the intended wearer or distribution route. Keep a simple core assortment if extra versions only add confusing quantities and artwork combinations.
Define the shared brand core
Identify the authorised logo family, colour references and permitted treatments shared across the programme. Then state which elements may differ by purpose, such as cap shape, rear wording, inside labels or outer packing.
Pantone’s guidance on physical colour references provides background for approving physical colour. Review the actual fabric and decoration for each version rather than assuming one approved colour treatment releases every material and method.
Review meaningful differences in a sample set
The corporate sample brief identifies decision owners and sample purposes. Use a comparison set that shows the relevant fit, construction and presentation differences.
Record what each sample covers and which components remain provisional. A shared logo can connect the assortment without making all the caps interchangeable. Give each accepted complete version a reference the ordering and packing teams can use.
| Decision | Record to keep |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Uniform, dealer, gift or another defined use |
| Brand core | Shared authorised marks and colour references |
| Version | Construction, fit, trims and presentation differences |
| Evidence | Samples covering the meaningful combinations |
| Repeat | Correct accepted version and changed requirements |
Keep repeats tied to the right version
Use the uniform programme checklist for the uniform issue and replenishment details. Keep dealer and gift requirements in their own item records rather than adding them to a generic repeat instruction.
Reconcile order quantities by complete version and destination. When a branch requests another cap, identify the accepted product reference and any changed need. This prevents a gift edition or older brand treatment from being ordered as a routine uniform replacement.
