Agree on the wearing position first
Identify where the front band should sit and how the sides and rear should be positioned. Use front, side and rear photographs to record the intended setup. Keep any styling of the brim clear.
Review each sample in that setup before comparing it with an earlier version. If a photograph shows the band tilted differently, clarify the position before interpreting the difference as a pattern change.
Identify the sample and wearer reference
Record the style, size, material and sample revision. Name the wearer or fitting reference used for the assessment. Where the range has more than one size, identify which samples and wearers are needed to review those differences.
Record band measurements with their units and method. Include the fastening setting used for the measurement or photograph. Keep the intended range as an agreed requirement, supported by the relevant fitting review.
Review contact around the band
Ask the wearer to describe the front, sides and rear separately. Identify an area that feels too tight, loose or uneven in the intended position. Review the inside surface, edge finish and joins at that location.
Connect the comment to the sample and setup. For example, a side-band concern should identify the location and setting at which it occurs. Ask whether the proposed change addresses the contour, component, fastening or another feature, then review the revised result.
Check the required closure settings
Identify the proposed fastening and assess its handling at the settings relevant to the range. Check strap ends, overlap, adjustment hardware and the inside finish. Review how the band presents after the visor has been adjusted.
Titleist lists an adjustable fastening on its official Tour Performance Visor. For your project, specify the actual closure and sample settings rather than treating “adjustable” as the complete fit specification.
Include intended eyewear in the review
If the visor is intended to be worn with particular eyewear or other equipment, include that combination in the fitting session. Check the space at the sides, how the band and equipment sit together, and whether the intended wearing position is maintained.
Record the combination used and the wearer’s feedback. Identify any change needed to the band, brim or setup. A sample reviewed without that equipment leaves the combined presentation to be assessed.
Review the brim from the wearing setup
Look at its projection and curve with the band in the accepted position. Compare the front and side views. Keep any requested brim change separate from a change to the band position so the next sample has a clear purpose.

Turn fitting comments into a controlled revision
- Identify the sample and fitting reference.
- Record the wearing position and closure setting.
- Describe the exact location and effect of the concern.
- Attach the relevant measurement or view.
- List accepted features that should remain consistent.
Compare the revised sample against the numbered comments using the same setup. If the material or inside components also change, identify them before accepting the new combination.
